It is also designed so you can download and complete all of the required paper work to begin the recruiting process. This will eliminate unnecessary travel to the Lorne Scots recruiting office. Please read through the whole web page. Once you have completed this and you feel that being a member of the Lorne Scots is something you wish to do please ensure that you meet the following requirements. They are non-negotiable and no paper work will be processed until all criteria are met:

      You must be a Canadian Citizen;
      You must be 18, or 16 with parental consent;
      You must have at least 15 high school credits;
      You must be free of any legal obligations (such as a witness, jury duty, or pending trial)

Required Documents:

Once you have completed these forms, to the best of your ability, please bring them to Sgt Naughton for review to the Lorne Scots recruiting office on Mon or Thurs night between 7:30pm and 10:30pm.

You are also required to bring the following items with you that night:

  1. Birth Certificate (if not born in Canada please bring all citizenship documentation including certified translation into Eng or Fre)
  2. Original high school transcripts only. Report cards and credit summary sheets will not suffice.
  3. SIN card
  4. Photo ID (passport, Drivers Licence, School ID)- Health Cards will not be accepted

Testing Phase:


Once all documentation is properly completed we will send your file to Canadian Forces Recruiting Detachment Mississauga.
From there they will contact you for the following testing:

The CFAT is the Canadian Forces Aptitude Test. This test is designed to test your abilities in several areas. Although they are NOT the same as the CFAT, the following links will take you to online aptitude tests that are similar to the CFAT. Preparation before hand is recommended. Using the GED as a study guide will be an asset to you.

Upon successful completion of the testing you will be put on a merit list from which we hire.
